Is there such a thing......

I recently been contemplating getting a jet ski as a way to fish. I had a small boat before, but as things turn out, I sold it. 😭Now wishing I hadn't, Im considering buying a Jet Ski. Question: Is there such a thing as a casting platform put on a jet ski? Have you seen one? Pictures? If not, would it work?

Not enough stability for that.

I'd look at a couple jet ski forums and talk with the guys that do it, they have a lot of stuff on them now. very popular item these days.

I used to stand on the back of my 3 seater. It's doable if you're standing in the middle of the seat or on some ice chest rack.. granted I'm a 5'6" .. so some of it will depend on your size.

As far as stability, Steve the 3 seaters are stable enough for an average sized guy to stand up on them ... some of the smaller 2's probably arn't. You're sasquatch *** ...no ;-)

They make great wadefishing rigs, and even great for trolling offshore. Great solo ... or with two people.. but that's the limit pretty much. I used mine tons when I had one and I'd do it, or a jet powered kayak again if I was fishing solo.

Intakes will occasionally get grassed up and you'll have to pull grass off it in a rare time or two, and make sure you get a filter for the water cooling line other wise shell bits can clog the line.. not hard to fix but I'd go with the inline filter for sure if operating around any shallow water and especially shallow reefs.

The entire jet ski is your cast platform. It's never level or completely stable but it works well. The larger jet skis we fish from are quite stable, you can stand on the gunnel and it will not flip over, at least on the model I have.

I've always seen a jetski at the ultimate wade fishing rig.. I'm not sure about fishing off of it though
