New jackplate install

Replaced my micro Jacker after it almost dumped my motor in the laguna. Changed it out today with the next size up atlas w 4” setback, rated for up to 300 hp. Was able to get the motor a few notches higher than previous setup. Also decided to adjust the transom wedges to make the motor tuck in a bit more, I’ll see what it does for the hole shot. Anyone have any input on that? Is there such thing as the engine being too tucked in for shallow hole shot? Will see if it is still getting proper water pressure when jacked all the way up. If not I will drop it down another notch and try again. Reason I stayed with atlas even after the micro failed me in a big way is bc the micro is actually made by CMC, and I liked the 4” setback option on the atlas. Also didn’t have any room up front for a bobs pump on the lightweight, my console is maxed out, and I might move up to a 150 in the next few years so I didn’t want to top out at 115 hp. Did have to shave a bit of the rolled gunnel around the transom to make the jackplate fit properly. Very wide jackplate w the cylinders being on the side. But Adam Stoner who built my boat came and cut it for me to make sure it was acceptable. Maybe a cm groove on one side
