Frontier 2104 info

The Kenner brothers build some great boats. Their websites, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. Can anyone tell me what shaft length motor the Frontier 2104 takes? Also what's the difference in the 2104 and the 2104 Meridian?

Thanks so much,

David

They are designed to be run with a 25 inch shaft engine, but I can order one with the transom drilled slightly lower that will enable a 20 inch motor to be used on a 12 inch setback hydraulic jack plate. That model also gets trim tabs as a standard item. I have not done it very often. The 2104 is also known as a 2104 Meridian. The older 210 was basically the same boat ,but had the splatter/ non liner finish.

My Frontier 2104 has a 150 ETEC with a 25" shaft. Not sure about the Meridian designation.

Thank you both.

Ronnie, I have seen pictures where some of them have a fish box next to the front deck and others don't. Is that an option or a difference in year models?

Thanks again,

David

The box that you have seen in some of the 2104 is a "drop in" option. it is a storage box that also serves as a step up to the front deck. that is a tall step from floor to deck, and gets a little hard on the knees after a fishing trip. mr. kenner built this step to help us old guys with mobility problems. it can be added to any of the 2104's. It is just storage, not insulated.

Thanks, Ronnie. That explains it. I am rapidly becoming one of the old guys...or perhaps I already am and I'm just now starting to admit it to myself.
