Etec Internal Thermostat Seal Replacement
I replaced the thermostats on my 2010 130 e-tec yesterday, the internal cylinder head to block thermostat seals look like they need to be replaced as well. It looks like this engine uses an o-ring at the head to block instead of a tradition head gasket, so I will order four of those and the two internal thermostat seals. Looking at the diagrams, I'm not sure what other parts may have to be removed that will require a replacement seal/gasket, anyone have any insight on what else may be needed? Or just general thoughts or insight on this procedure? Any input is appreciated.
