Insalling Q-beam outlet in boat

What size wire and fuse should I use for a Q beam light plug. Is 20 amp big enough. Please PM me an info how to. I have one now but has other stuff on the circuit and the spotlight trips the breaker.

Wire gauge depends on length of run. 6’ or so should be good to go with 16 ga wire. 15 amp fuse is plenty. Most cigarette outlets are rated for 15 amps. It will say on the package. New led lights won’t draw near that much.

Pegasus is a Landlubber (+10 to -10)
Take the rated watts of your light and divide by 12, that’s your amp draw. Go next size up for fuse. Plenty of on line wire size calculators. Search it. Easy to use. Enter amps, length of wire and a few other things and it will spit out wire size.

True, but invariably everything I have that's cordless, the battery is dead when I need to use it.
