Haynie Magnum vs Parker Big Bay vs Shallowsport X3 vs Dargel Cat

I don’t care what boat you get, but I would like for you to make an informed decision. I personally own a X3. I’m also a fan of the Haynie 25 magnum. The magnum is a great boat, but it isn’t going to float shallower than a X3 or Dargel Kat. No one has even mentioned that an X3 can get up in 12” of water. I have a Suzuki 350 with the TRP props. My boat is not going to win a drag race, but sure will get you up quick out ofnwhen needed. Good luck with your decision. If I was in the Galveston bay complex, I would probably buy a v-hull.

Do people who get these boats really need to get up in the shallow water all the time. I always see that

A few weeks ago I was in a Parker 2300 Big Bay and ran from Corpus to Baffin down the ICW. Winds were NW 25 gusting to 35 and I never felt unsafe in that Parker. Good riding boat. Yeah it's big and heavy, but it'll get you home when it gets nasty. I like the flip up console.

I ordered a Grady White Fisherman 236. I had an 18 Whaler for the last 7 years before selling it. I fished the heck out of that Whaler all over Galveston Bay. I never wade fished and now that I have young kids I really don't have any intentions of wade fishing, so a boat that was big enough for the family that offered a good comfy ride for my wife was high on the importance list.
