I have a 25 X3. I regularly make trips in 3 ft or less offshore up & down the coast in state water for Snapper. Have run up to 28 miles one way offshore at this point. Does well and very dry ride.
I saw some one mention an X3 with twins. Shallow Sport recently released the new 28 X3. In your price range, you could be one of the first owners with dual Yamaha 200s or pay a little more for twin 250s. Good luck with the boat search. It took me a while.

1 Big nice bay boat

Seavee 270x
Contender 25 bay
Sea hunter 28 Floridian

You can get all the 25’ “off shore” boats you want your still only going on nice days until you get into the 32+ foot category. Those boats don’t get super skinny but that’s what kayaks and wading is for.

24’ SS mod v. You can put enough bells and whistles to run 6” or run 15-20 miles out on a good day.

If I had $150K cash to spend on boats, I would buy a nice used 24' Kenner or 24' Blazer Bay, repower it if need be and deck it out how I would want and then still have enough cash to buy a new truck and invest the rest. but that is just me

Hello Katcher,
Did you find what you are looking for?

If not, I have a 257 BJ fully loaded and a 18 ft Shallow Sport fully loaded. Both boats in mint condition

First...nobody has asked the basic questions of what species do you target most? Even in today's used boat market, you can get a LOT for $150k. I'm looking at offshore boats myself between 26-31ft and there are a TON of options, especially if you're looking for a used boat with low hours. I mainly offshore fish...bottom fish during snapper season and like to head to the floaters to chase tuna...so a long range/stable safe ride is key.
By the boat where you can focus on the majority of the fish you target. Hell you can outfit an awesome new offshore boat and fish from a kayak inshore if that's to your liking...or better, a high end bayboat for inshore and use the excess funds to go on charter trips offshore. You have tons of options with that budget.

I have a 256 BlackJack and 18ft Shallow Sport Classic. In my opinion from experience those are both amazing performances for bays and marshes.
