If you are looking to run in 8-12 inches of water you shouldn’t even consider anything without a tunnel. If you’re looking to just float in a foot of water, that’s a different story. But you can’t always float in and float out, man. You’ll need a shallow hole shot too. Not ideal for bass boat. You can get away with a skinny water boat on the lake, but not the other way around. You’re talking ankle to calf deep water here

OP you're looking for a lot of boat for not a lot of budget. You can find the boat you're looking for but it will be used for that budget. 8" is skinny for the size boat you need. You almost need a cat hull and those can hard to find in the $30's.

I had a Gulf Coast 20' several years back that was really dry, took the chop good, and ran like it was on railroad tracks...gets purdy skinny too with the tunnel. You might even look at a cat hull with a low profile bubble console, like the Shoalwater has.
Cool boat, is that a Mako?

Yes, they only made them for 2 years back in the day, and a limited production of 50. Purdue had a hand with this design and his daughter has hull #1. Mine is hull #9, but really a 1 of 1 given the original owner had a tunnel put in it back in the early 90's.

An East Cape Vantage fits the bill nicely. There are two for sale on Microskiff, both are priced within your budget.

I live in DFW but tournament redfish in louisiana as well as texas. I needed something to fish for reds as well as bass fish out of here in the metroplex. I ended up getting a 22' majek extreme. It works well for both applications.

Sounds like you need to buy my Majek Extreme. It’s a beautiful fishing machine under 40 K

Shallowsport. Will do everything you mentioned. Might i add that it also makes an excellent river boat. You can go right on over those sand bars. I bought it for much of what you said. I wanted the flats abilities and the lake abilities and at 21' it does a great job. In rough water you will need to slow it down a bit. Small trade off for the abilities these boats offer. They can be found used at gidd prices.

There’s a nice transport for sale in the classified on here that just popped up. Low profile boat that floats very shallow as well. 28k
