Thanks to the fisherman fishing at the boat ramp! I got lucky to not damage a seal.

I feel your pain!!! We had something similar happen a few years back, when I picked up an oyster sack off the bottom with the TRP reversing off the trailer as we launched. Tried to go into forward and it would conk out.

Started it again, tried again in forward, conked out again. Raised the motor, and when I could see the props, starting cursing oyster boats as loud as I could from the side of the ramp. Limped her back onto trailer with ropes, and then got to cutting with a filet knife and pliers. Back into the water almost an hour later. We may have lost a seal that day, as our lower unit had some water the next time we had it serviced.

I have extra hatred for bay raping oystermen now. Slimey **** anyways!!!!
