How long did it take for you to see the benefits of the limit reduction to 5?
Do you have any examples or stories to share that highlight your points?

I got two 30” trout last year In east Matty , and a year prior .. I catch 28” are not uncommon , 25” are common , everything over 20” is a norma day. I don’t toss bait of any kind (obviously because I own a lure company ) ..
I fish every coastal state with a redfish / trout fishery (NC Thru Texas ) regularly , again because I own a lure company, and I can tell you there is NO STATE that can match those trout results I get in east Matty. Some states like NC still gill net trout , LA allows you to keep 25 a day and Florida coast is 100% developed.
The single biggest factor providing the east Matty fishery is 90% management like limits as pushed by the CCA and 10% habitat preservation .. it also doesn’t hurt that Texas has a ugly Coast nobody wants to live on ... that limits the amount of trout taken (again further bolstering the limit argument ) because we simply have a lower participation rate than a state like fla or NC
