sheepshead SS report 9-11 Live shad fishing

I did a little top water dog walking early and got one hybrid 23" missed a couple of more.
Then I netted some 6 to 8 inch threadfin shad and kept them alive.
I drifted with light tackle and fished them live and caught some nice cats. The biggest 27" I let go after the picture and kept three others 3 to five pounds.
It was great to be back on the water after missing almost a week!

See you on the water.

Dang! Sounds like without you there to catch them the whites and hybrids moved off of their topwater bite.

Good job on the cats. Find where the fish have gone and I'll come help you catch some of them.

The lake is half a foot low, time to be careful where you go, there are plenty of stumps still hungry for a prop or other hardware.
The full moon killed the morning bite pretty much I just found a few wild cards willing to hit.
When I went in around 11:00 there was a boat trolling and hauling in the white bass hand over fist lol!
The white bass, were like always biting like hardhead catfish in the surf right in the heat and closer to the middle of the day with the full moon affect.
This hybrid hit with about ten feet of line out in shallow water, it was a ride!
It took a good twenty five feet of line on a run once it stopped splashing beside the boat. And then some short runs before coming to the net.
Hybrids are really fun on the Zara Spook.
It was full of fat and had an empty stomach as did the catfish.
