Whirlpool dishwasher just humming

Dishwasher worked fine a couple of hours ago. I turn it on now and it just hums. No water. Everything looks clear. Any ideas?

First thing it should do is drain the water left in it...if you don't hear that happening, it's probably the pump.

No water-Check the water inlet valve. Youtube has bunch of videos on testing it. Cheap and easy fix if it's bad.

Pumps are easy to replace. Start there

I ended up pouring water in the dishwasher drain to confirm the pump was working. Google showed me a "Whirlpool dishwasher reset" for the panel, so I tried that. Yahtzee! The thing is 11 years old and doesn't wash like it used to so we're going to go ahead and replace it soon. Thanks for the replies!
