A kill switch surely helped here. And before you say "well, those are high speed boats .."...you've never witnessed some folks making the turn into Greens from the ICW.

Been boating for over 50 years and have never seen a run away boat with no operator.
Rule should be amended to say " boats with no sides" No way I can fall out of the Hurricane since it has sides like a pontoon. forget it.


It happened this week in corpus.

Whoops, ccraver beat me to it.

And for anyone who missed it a few years ago.... see all those people right there? Pretty lucky no one got hit. The guy running the boat said “I will never operate a boat again without a kill switch”
