My new house came with a pretty slick outdoor kitchen but the Fisher guys said my grill need to be replaced, so after a few weeks of deliberating I ordered a new DCS 36. Its going on a year now.

So theres two things:
A) I spent way to much on this to get it dirty
B) Its hard to keep the temp down low even with 1 burned on

As far as A is concerned, I used to pressure was the grates after using with my pressure washer, and it made a huge difference, but that has since burnt up and I dont care to replace it. What do I do do keep my grill and grates clean, or at least much easier to clean up? Its more of an issue when I grill fatty foods.

As for B, is this something on the gas valve underneath or it is a common DCS issue?

DCS

I have been having one for several years. I was concerned about keeping everything clean, yet I got over that pretty fast. I don't let things build up and with that said i just removed the grills sprayed them with degreaser and pressure washed them. Probably the best way to clean the grill it is to put all burners on sear and burn everything off, similar to the clean cycle on ovens.

As far as the heat, I will sometimes only turn on one or two burners or cook on the top rack, or area above an off burner. I have turned on the far left burner and the wood chip burner with wood in it and cooked on the "off" burner between them.

Hope that helps, these are expensive yet mine gets used alot and it still keeps going
