Getting screwed by lowrance

I had problems with my elite 7ti that had never been used. The device would not read any sonar and would show sonar version 0.0.0 in the setting so I called lowrance and they sent me patchware to fix it. Turns out it was for the wrong unit and they did not have it for the ti1 so I had to send the unit in to be replaced. During this process the kept telling me I had a ti5 due to my serial number and I told them multiple times no it’s clearly a ti7 stated on the box and the unit so they said ok. So I spent he 40 bucks to ship it back to them and during this process I emailed them to confirm it was a ti7 not 5. Well I finally got it back and of course they sent me the wrong size. Called lowrance today and told them the situation and requested to speak to the supervisor only for the same guy to come back thirty minutes later to tell me they have to review all my previous calls and check what I sent in and they would give me a call in 3-5 days. I have had this unit for about 2 months and haven’t been able to use it so I am pretty ticked off at the moment and do not think I would go with a lowrance product again.

There customer service skills
Horrible

Had a 10” HD model sent in bc started shutting down on its own

It was at factory for 3 weeks waiting to be serviced

Then I finally get a call stating it
Was not repairable
No problem
Then she states your unit is out of warranty by
5 days now

Excuse me it’s been at your facility for 3 weeks 21 plus days

Told me I would have to buy new one at 1500 plus dollars
Ask for manager and was told sir we’re giving you a 20% discount
Did not want to warranty a product that was in warranty at factory waiting for repairs then went out of warranty at factory

F Lowrance took my money ordered Garmin haven’t looked back

I have a touch 9 " , I started having strange issues with it and talked
to the rep at the boat show, really got nothing, I found a bug in it.

I have a lowrance radio also , the cable to the mike has wrotted out.

I have all lowrance items and If I had it to go over again I would look
hard at garmin.
I have a hand held radio because I do not trust my lowrance radio.

I first bought Lawrence products 30 years ago ... don't care about their phone manners, I just want their stuff to work more than a few months ... tired of sending chit back and forth ... it used to be reliable but has gone downhill ...
