For once I fully agree with you. Give them a break for the rest of the year if need be. My fishing results usually do that anyway!

I vote Not necessary would serve no purpose. There is no biological reason to stop fishing all together because of this freeze.

Yes certain places where they stack up and can be ganged up on. Sure that makes sense.

But shut it down altogether? No I can't see a reason for that.

TPWD already protected the resources during the freeze. It's over now. Thank you Mr. Jr. Game Wardens.

"Let's make more laws." Bunch of bullchip.

Go fishing, enjoy yourselves and have fun.

I don't like the idea of more laws than the next person but obviously there are still anglers that aren't making the best decisions. If the fish retention by anglers doesn't change fast we could be looking at a grim situation soon. Big picture here is key.

What data do you base this doom and gloom prediction on? Are you one of the biologists doing the survey perhaps?

Not a biologist I just listen to those who are and to those to who have decades of experience. To be clear it's not "doom and gloom" but it could be in the future if changes are not made. I'd much rather than the change come from a majority of anglers than from the state.

That's my 2 cents.
