Need Advice!!!

I have a 2012 F-350 Srw 6.7 powerstroke and a 40 ft 5er that weighs about 15,000lb when traveling. Headed to Lubbock and back this weekend from Houston with and the ford just seemed to not be able to keep up. Heated up and the tranny would jerk when going up a steep incline and would hit almost 4K RPMS. Seemed like it couldn't handle the load. Check engine light and all that fun.

Has anyone changed to the 2014-15 Ram 3500 Dually/ Gmc-Chevy 3500 dually and like it better along with towing/power/transmission shifting?

Need yalls help?!

Interesting. Truck should be able to handle that load.

Depends on the wind speed and direction. Thats a big parachute (an empty 20 ft container can have the same effect) if theres a strong head wind.

had a 2005 6.0 did the same ,changed the fuel filter solved it ! Got into some bad fuel ..so once the engine could produce the power it was not lugging the tranny and it never heated up again

You have the best light to medium duty engine and trans money can buy. Going up in weight rating only changes the axles, suspension and gears. I would figure out whats setting the codes. There could be software updates.
