Ram 1500?? Durability & mileage?

Ok, I know this is every man to his personal choice but I'm looking at buying a 2nd truck. Does anyone here on 2Cool drive a Ram 1500? I don't pull any heavy loads and I just sold my larger boat so I can downsize to a mini scooter around 10-12 ft long. I'm curious about what your experience has been with the 2013/2014 Rams..either v6 or v8. Additionally how many miles have you put on a Ram? Has anyone run them consistantly for over 150 K? Thanks in advance!
Tight lines!

I have 230k on my 2007 3/4 ton. It's a hemi work truck. Runs like a top. Still waiting for it to crater. The truck has been used and abused. Slag on the sides. A spot where a forklift when into the side.

108000 miles on my 2007 hemi 1500. I do a lot of towing with a 20 foot boat that has a lot of wind resistance. So far I have replaced
water pump
vehicle computer
fan clutch

Relatively minor stuff. Knock on wood it has been a great reliable truck despite what a lot of people say about them. I also average 17-18 which I feel is not too bad.

Fiance' and I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 2wd Quad Cab in September. It has the V8 motor with the 8spd transmission and averages 20-22mpg on the open highway and 18-19mpg in the city. Just rolled 5k miles this morning on my way to work.

This may not help you much....I've got a 2009, only 48k miles but mostly trouble free. I had read back in 2007 how the "big three" were all working on 1/2 ton trucks with 3.5 - 4.5 liter diesels in them. Got tired of waiting and bought the 5.7 hemi I have. It's a 4x4 because I live on a sandbar and though I sometimes trailer my small boat (2500lbs all in) I often need to move my larger boat (11,000 give or take all in) and it does a good job with both. While trailering the small boat I get 12-12.5mpg. Running up to San Antonio and back without a load @ 80mph is 16-17. If I drive "sensibly" I've done as well as 19mpg...the 8 speed tranny helps a lot...

'1o Hemi with 107k miles. From factory it had a defective pressure switch in fuel tank. At 65k miles the idler pulley started making noise, I had an extended warrenty so my service writer had the evaporator replaced. She said it was a week part and redesigned after 2010. 70k miles new tires. At 90k miles the brakes and plugs were replaced and the rear exhaust manifold bolts (broken) were replaced.

All in all, it is still a very solid truck. No rattles, shakes or squeaks. I have every expectation for this to continue.

2001 1500 V6, 5SP trans. 330K. Bought new with 10 miles on it. Had the trans rebuilt no more than 6 month ago, original starter, alt, ps pump. No work to the engine except reg maintenance. Valvoline 10-30 oil and every other change I add Slick 50. 1 can of seafoam in the tank every 3 fill up. Still getting 20 MPG HWY
Probably will be looking for another one this coming fall.
