Ive been bumped dozens of times. Knocked completely off my feet a few times.... have had stingrays rip my feet out from under me.... it is all part of learning and those predators are there for the same reason you are.... nothing to worry about you arent on the menu. It just means you are doing it right.
But dang as a land bound only angler back to your original question holy moly yes there is worlds more to discuss and learn for you.....
im not land bound, per se. i fly to key west to my buddy where we go to Tortugas island/preserve on 3-4 day tirps, i just came back from chicago did some salmon action in lake michigan with another buddy. it seems all my friends are fishing in different states ;/ next visit long overdue is a buddy in alaska.
i use guide services here regularly. I could buy a boat and study all these things, but fishing above all else is for fun. Im not aiming to be captain and start guiding service. I catch a thing or two here on the forums and thats good enough for me. so you do the studying, and I'll pay you for your time investment into that, so I can have a fun trip
and wading is not fun for me. i know it has lots of great advantages. but if im not having fun, why do it.
