Hey 2coolers : I tried some vide shrimp by egret bait and have had no luck at all. Has anyone had any luck with them and if had what's the best way to fish them. Would appreciate any help .

Thanks

Are you talking about vudu shrimp? If so I have had very good results with them under a popping cork.

Gotta be in fish for them to work. Put them under a popping cork about 2.5-3' deep and go to work.

Exactly, it's 90% locating fish and about 3% what bait you use... I know plenty people that do just fine with Vudu and Marker 54 Shrimp.. both are good. Do a search for every single thread TroutSupport has ever written.. start with the older ones... start there, always feel free to email me with any questions.

VuDu makes a great bait .so fish it Slow .. slower ..and profoundly slow .

. the old DOA .. “bang bang “ with the rod tip is over (unless you still toss DOA ) .. the flex tail has plenty of action so you only need a gentle tick , tick , tick of the rod tip .. pick the lure up ..let the lure fall .. almost like fishing a paddle tail

For under a cork .. pop it every 1 Mississippi ..but not your big bait “BOOM” pop .. more like a gentle tic .. if you can barely hear the cork on the pop ..that’s hard enough ..every 1 Mississippi..and your leader should never be longer than 10” under the cork (that’s true for most lures under a cork FYI)

Granted this is all advice for forward motion shrimp lures .. and we all know shrimp go backwards ;-D

Also stick with natural colors at first .. the funky colors work if in specific conditions but shrimp are brown or white everyday
