Towing question

I have a 16 Chevrolet 2500 Z71 Duramax and pull a 7500 GVWR TT with no issues. My wife wants to upgrade to a 10500 GVWR trailer, from what I’ve read on the diesel thread, I believe I could pull it without any issues. Am I correct? Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes, my 05 DMAX has pulled the same weight. Just take your time, and let the engine and transmission do all the work.

Yeah I did a cross country run from here up to Pennsylvania in a 2015 yanking about 15k through the smoke mountains. No problem whatsoever. That Allison ate those mountains up and the Dmax just grunted on through.

The nice thing about the new ones is the exhaust brake. After thay trip, I wish my 06 had a exhaust brake. Going down grades barely had to touch the brakes.

You cna pull a 10,500 GVWR trailer fine with a gas truck. You have more than enough power.
