Which tire for sand?

My 2018 Toyota Highlander V6 has the original Michelin 18" Latitude tires which are great on the highway but tend to spin in the deep sandy roads at my camp. What would be better tires for the sand but still quiet on the highway?

Do you get stuck? if not use the same. Anything more aggressive will dig to china. Wider is better in sand.

Thank you for reaching out, tec!

As sgrem noted, a more aggressive tread design (such as an all-terrain or mud terrain) tend to dig.

Flotation is the name of the game when it comes to performance in sand and what a lot of people will do to improve performance is lower the air pressure which helps the tire float on top. Steady; continuous momentum is another factor.

With that being said, if you're set on a new set of rubber you may want to give the Michelin Defender LTX M/S a look. This tire rides well on road with minimal road noise and people report good results in sand/beach conditions.
