AQ - Thanks for posting. I would have no problem with reducing the bag limit from twenty to ten during regular season. We rarely have opportunity to take more than ten anyway. Plus, ten geese is a lot of meat to process. I make boudain and link sausage with mine, adding 65 to 70% pork makes a lot of sausage!

never hunted snipe, but been looking at them...
seen a few on large tanks and flats in SoTx...
maybe someday...fun looking shooting...
maybe a hunt near Winnie, someday..
kin has connections
in general, longer, later seasons would give more shooting opportunities...
typing this while seeing cranes around Eagle Pass Tx

Thanks for posting. Will be emailing and writing in for sure. Reducing scaup from 3 to 1 would kill the costal hunting for sure...

I doubt lowering the limit on white geese is going to change much.

The birds simply are not migrating here in the numbers anywhere close to what most of us grew up seeing for much of our lives.

But it is one of the few things they can do so why not try it?

The agencies must have concern about scaup numbers. Doubtful they want to do this but they have to protect and manage the species are best possible.
