Bahamas

Taking the family to Nassau Bahamas mid February. Is it worth booking a guide? I’ve read and heard mixed reviews.

I have been to the Bahamas many times. There is some fabulous flats fishing but not on Nassau. Your best bet would be to take the ten minute flight to Andros and book Benry Smith if you can get him for a day trip. He is a top notch guide and will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. If u want more info on the Bahamas PM me. Tight Lines.

?DIY at Nassau?

I'll be there in February as well. Is there any good fishing at Nassau? Nothing worth a DIY? Won't have but about 6 hours there. Open to any suggestions. Thanks-
Tight lines

I fished Nassau years ago before Atlantis was there. We caught wahoo at ship channel entrance on way out, and on way in at end of day. Capt would not turn around and go back over same area . Frustrating experience....and Capt would not let us keep wahoo. Was 28 years old.....would probably handle differently if I was there now. Did some below average scuba as well. Enjoyed the island but not what we did offshore. Don't know that I have ever read that fishing is great anywhere near there....probably a long run in a slow boat to get to a good area.
