Does anybody else have one of these boats that is experiencing poor quality / degradation of the seats? Mine has been in storage when it isn't being used and is 3.5 years old but all the rear seats are coming apart and the snaps that hold them on have all ripped off. The boat is pretty good other than that and the lack of tackle storage. Boat is used 3-4 weeks each year and is always washed and the seats are sprayed with a vinyl conditioner

Had an 1810 for 5+ years, no problems with mine. Had a custom fabric cover made for it. Loved that boat. Sorry to hear about yours.

About that time there was a problem with some bad material used on several brands of boats. All the seats in the SeaFox boats we sold had to be replaced due to the same condition. Most of them developed spots first then continued to deteriorate.

I had a 15 model 214 and they used black iron staples in the seats.. 6 month later I had rust streaks as well as vinyl falling off because the staples were mostly gone.. small details that don't cost much could make are break a company imo.

No issues on the 2014 ShallowBay. Kept in the garage. Not used enough.
Aero 303 on the vinyl occasionally. Rear seats rarely used, I can't think of the last time. |

NauticStar offered warranty coverage for the known 'spotting on the seats' issue in the past. It might be worth some investigation.

To be fair I have to say they finally contacted me and put me in touch with a dealer that was actually helpful. $290 for replacement rear seats including shipping. Almost bought two sets to avoid future hassles. |
