Layers are in ‘trails’ * Shallow DNGR Danger - Brightest Red. These can be good for redfish. * Caution (Drk Red) These are reefs that might come into range of the lower unit on low tide.. particularly on winter low tides. On normal tides I wouldn't run right over them either. * Deep (Purple) - These are the best substrate and best live shell. The drought of 7 years killed a lot of reefs and some will never come back. These areas in the purple or 'Deep' have already started coming back or have good shell or the right conditions for regrowth or both. * Degraded.. these are reefs that were killed and decimated by the drought. These reefs will never come back. However, even though they are free of oyster shell and no live oyster, most of them do form humps or offer some relief off the bay floor so occasionally there will be some fish on them. * Edges (Blue).. these are edges of channels in select areas. * Scatr - Scatted oyster on mud bottom. These areas are not reef but have a mud bottom and scattered oyster shells.

I've had a couple guys buy this as a gift for a friend with a Lowrance or Simrad. Good to see the Christmas Spirit. Couple of day left and it can even be done on Christmas Day.

This came in a day or two ago. Pretty cool. It was his first day out 'trying' it.

Our Plan is to eventually do all the bays. It's a long process though... not just something you go whip out of the weekend or even in ones 'spare' time. This took about 9 months full time (as in dusk to dawn) on the water scanning time for Galveston.

For Galveston.. I'm shooting for March.. I've finished 4 of the 6 layers. Got two more big ones, then clean up and do some clips on how to install. I'd love to have it for the fishing show but can't quite promise that yet.
