Went to Tawakoni on Saturday for an afternoon half day trip that started at 4pm and by 5pm we had 15 stripers and about 30 whites. In an hour period I'm not sure I have ever been on such a good honey hole. We fished for about hour or so to catch some more whites and ended the day with about 60 fishing in total.
Tawakoni might not be the prettiest lake but it sure is a good fishing lake
Agree with you...its the best striper, hybrid, white bass combo lake in Texas, IMO. Only problem is it gets a little crowded at times. The white bass there are Texas sized...we've caught them up to 20 inches and the stripers to 20 pounds there. Great fishing at times.
Not sure how to post so posted one to twitter to see if it would work
Striper were all caught on live bait and then we did some jogging for white bass
