Dual Purpose Identification Trailer Lights
 

Anyone know if the 3 red identification lights on the rear of your trailer, can be used both as identification and/or as additional brake lights on a trailer if using dual purpose lights? Just wondering, if the low side lights are used for identification at all times per the law, would it be legal to wire the high side into the brake lights, so when the brakes are applied, the brighter side of the dual purpose lights would come on. Obviously, this would be in addition to the two stop lights on rear when brakes applied. Just thinking, the more lights at night, the better.



Have looked and so far, haven't found anything prohibiting it, nor anything saying it is ok to do.

Please delete. Scratched idea. Forgot about the turn signals if I use either the green or yellow wire for the high side.
