I need to do a video of before and after to show everyone how they will never cavitate and get the impeller hot and smoke the housing, cup, and plate. Maybe we can demo on the Slice of Life?

4 Ever-Fish N I hate to hear the water pump was that bad. But I agree with you, it's better knowing there was an issue that could be fixed. Keep us posted after a couple of trips on how it's doing.

WhiteSquall Took it into Acie’s yesterday, turns out the whole housing/pump was ‘melted’. Pretty frustrating as this issue happened the first time I dropped it in the water and that was also when I noticed the salesman at Premier Yamaha in CC had put 2.5 hrs on the engine. This was when I made the first call to Premier and they said no big deal all normal...

I assume they must have done something squirrely down there because I’ve been running the thing as conservative as could be considering it wasn’t reliable from day one. Of course, the fix isn’t covered under the warranty but they (Acie’s) have it all fixed up now and they say everything else looks great!

Hoping to find the reliable side of the engine now! Oh and lesson learned on the dealer side...[emoji1374][emoji1374][emoji1374]

And definitely frustrating because I went with the M2 rigged with a Yamaha over Merc/Evinrude thinking the SHO would be most proven reliability in the 115 size. [emoji15][emoji15]
