I'm sure Acie's and Redwing has done it several times over the years, when they've done the tune-ups. But as of recently, I put myself in charge of maintenance, that can be good for my pocket book, but bad for my motor. Thanks for heads up, headed to utube, I'll get-er-done asap.

I change the plugs, impeller and lower unit gear grease regularly, got the plug indexing down to a T. lol. makes me think i know what i'm doing. never done a decarb, how is this done? i do have the EV-Diag software, and know the very basics with it.

Amazon has the XLF for $15.19 or so, $18 for the premium plus (both subscribe & save, add a buck for regular order). Anybody know the difference between these two? Seems like XLF is probably the same stuff just with some extra additives?

Out board mfg's do not make oil!
this is what I've been told since the beginning of time. i can't verify it, don't know any quicksilver, OMC, Yamaha etc buyers. I can remember paying as little as $7.95 gal or something rediculous years back. Again always running OMC and the cheapest priced TC-W3 available.

I got my prescription sun glasses from walmart, Rayban frames, and Nikon manufactured the lenses.

What are you some kind of loony old man? Dont you know you gotta get the stuff that's $38 or it will never ever work. 40 years or not no way that stuff even works at all. Gotta search online for the most expensive stuff or that motor gonna fall off the transom.
