I have found the upper limits on mine, twice. Both times, most people wouldn't want to bottom fish anyway due to the rocking and rolling. 3.9' at the buoy, 19-23k wind, and it would hold for about 10min then give up. I'd reset and it would hold again, and give up.

Havent used it enough to tell honestly..so far we had it running about 4ish hours with plenty of battery left..should last all day. On top of that I have it hooked up to a yandina charger which charges it while running out offshore. Should never run out of battery.

Anytimer I have used one for several years and they work great. Some days waves are to big and prop might come out of water at times also current my be too much for it to hold. When that happens i usually have 1 person at the main engines to bump it to help out. That has happened only 2 time in 3 years. It works great at the jetties, rigs and reefs. Bets the hell out of anchoring all the time.

Wizness My 84" rhodan goes atleast a 2ft below the water on my 266 worldcat and the bow are pretty tall on them.

Saltwatersavage17 Thanks for the feedback captteddy. If you take it offshore you will have to let me know how it handles.

captteddy I’ve recently put one on my 27’ Sea Hunt. So far very happy. Haven’t had opportunity for offshore yet, but very impressed on strong incoming tide, channel side of north jetty.
Had no issues with large ship wakes there either.
Put a RAM mount on gunnel near head to support - rock solid.

GooseCommanderozz Are trolling motors with the spot lock becoming a big thing for offshore boats? I have one on my bay boat and love it, and always thought it would be a cool idea to have one on an offshore boat for snapper fishing. I didn’t know someone actually built one with a long enough shaft.

Beerguy91 ShawnQ runs one on his 28 Mckee. I'd ask him. They work great while fishing wrecks.
