I agree with you on the Commercial sport fishing thing. I have heard tales of them leaving huge slicks of dead fish behind them. But, that is where the big money and influence is so I don't see things changing anytime soon.

TexasDux Same mentallity as.....

.....taking your wife and 2 kids fishing just so you can keep 40 trout that you caught and not them...but hey there was 4 in the boat so I'm entitled

.....buying your spouse a hunting license, shooting a deer and using her tag...but hey whats the difference who shot it eh?

.....shooting ducks/doves after you shot your limit cause your buddy has not limited out yet...but hey what's the difference?

marlin chaser Take the number of people on the boat (including crew) and multiply by 4. That is the max (snappers) the boat can come in to port with. Same with any other type of fish that has a daily limit/person.

I understand that. But what I'm asking is there such a thing as a "boat limit" in relation to counting the catch in spite of personal limits?

I plan on doing a charter with Freedom Fishing. Capt. Langston runs this boat and I hear that they do very well.
