That is a shallow water production field in the Bay of Campeche (I think). Operated by Pemex. I recognize a few jack-up drilling rigs amongst the platforms which tells me this is in less than 300 foot. Probably alot of barracudas on top at best.

One thing I notice. It looks like there is a Semi-Submersible with a fixed end bridge over to a fixed platform.
Never seen that before.

After looking more closely it appears to be a flare boom, not a fixed bridge.
What would a Semi-submersible be doing there in the first place?

Belt Sanders,

They use old semi submersibles (as seen in this photo) as a floating hotel. Just used primarily for bunks and some equipment storage.

flotel???

Thanks OtE, we appreciate the input from you oil workers. I always thought you guys probably catch more fish because you get to see so much fish when you leaning on the handrail (I mean) working out there. Also, you only work half the year so you have a lot of free time.
