Here I am sitting here in Colorado, missing the heck out of my TTMB friends, Texas Country music, and everything else, when I get a birthday present in the mail from Troy Merrill! Those of you who have known me a while know that I am a huge Roger Creager fan, and probably remember seeing "Having Fun All Wrong" as my quote for a long time. Look at what Troy went and did!

Love you, man!

No, No....YOU da man!

I went to to Cactus Music the other day and he was having an in-store. Played 5-6 acoustic tunes (Having Fun All Wrong, Everclear, Love, Shreveport to New Orleans, Pirates Life at 40 (Buffett)). It was cool. Drank a few Ziegenbocks.

Had him personlize it as I thought you might appreciate.

YEEEEEEEHAW. Texas kicks @SS!!

Yes, I got one for myself as well!

Haven't heard it yet, AC. Occasionally I'll hear "Wave on Wave" up here, but as far as TX Country goes, that's about it! I'll have to check it out.

Zach -Thanks for the link. You can be sure it'll get a listen! ;)

Thanks again, Troy! I just finished listening to the entire CD. The whole thing was great, but I especially liked his version of "A Pirate Looks at 40". I've never heard him do it before. Not bad A-TALL! :D

You made my day, bro!

Jeff, I was in Denver a few years ago and those people seemed way too uptight to me. You need to get some of that Texas sound going up there and maybe have a crawfish boil for some of them.

Charlie Robison

Shadman, Charlie Robison's new album comes out next week. I've hear a couple of tracks off it, sounds pretty good.
Charlie Robison will be signing his new CD at Cactus Music this week. Check online to see the date. Might be today or Thursday. But I am pretty sure it is this week. Also, Jason Boland will be there this week or next doing the same thing. It's a cool way to meet some of Texas's own.
