Switched to txu because we were supposed to be saving 4 cents per kilowatt over reliant. READ THE FINE PRINT. We ended up not really saving anything and I'm locked in a 2yr contract. Not to mention txu customer service is horrible. Guy actually told me I should have read my contact. What I should do is introduce my foot to his rear end . Maybe i should have just have stayed with reliant. What's you experience with your electric company 2coolers?

We have used Gexa on both houses for a number of years. They have always been responsive and competitive. We do a rate review each year over the phone and feel they are pretty good.

Good luck, there are certainly many to choose from.

Gexa for 4 years now. Good price, easy to understand bill, and no hassles.

Champion and yes I recommend. I get an email every week showing daily use and cost for last week compared to the prior week. Has a graft of useage, cost and estimated monthly bill. Love it.

Spark and have had no issues here. While they do charge a $5 fee for less than 1000kw hours, there is no other hidden fees at 9.1 cents a Kw hour. Was going to switch last contract but the other vendors had large credit card fees I wanted no part of. I refuse to give them access to my bank account. Spark came out cheaper after the hidden fees were calculated.

If you know someone who works for a power retailer, ask them about their friends program. It may save you a penny.

Don't let anybody do a direct draft off your checking account or credit card...even if it means you have to post a deposit or pay 1/2 cent higher rate.
