We lost power last night in Crosby around 9pm., the wind got really hairy as I ended up with a large oak through the upstairs bedroom. Good luck to all and this will be just a memory in a few days. I hope.
Who is posting from the power of a generator?

we are on a generator up in conroe. It runs the whole house. Everything works except the Satalite was knocked off of the roof with a tree limb.

on emergency relief duty @ st elizabeth hospital in beaumont, been on generator since 3am. have about 160 patients - (with gustav - got down to 18 & no wind or rain) just got notified that the water is not safe to drink. computers & internet came up about 10am. food in cafeteria - cooked w propane by flashlight, but it's hot. ready to go home - if i have one..

TheAnt is allaway up here in Hearne. A little wind, limbs, heard they stopped folks from going back in.
Called the city and they discourage folks. No food, no fuel, no electricity for 0-2 weeks, rationed water. I guess they're just using what's in the towers. Well water used there. Maybe a pump or two is broke, I don't know. I like the A/C here but can't afford more than overnight... guess I'll have to go to work!

I guess I have about 36 hrs left on gas for the genny and then I will be in search of more fuel.

i just put 5 more gallons in the no name gen.i bought from home depot thursday night...it has run my fridge my entertainment center (to watch the news and play video games)my fishtank and many fans and powerstrips for cell phone chargers and dsl..for the last 11 hrs..not bad im thinking for 5 gallons of petro..paid 485.00 including tax and an extra 2 year warranty
my family and friends are happy..they are cool and entertained...now i am wishing i could take a shower and ill be in heaven
about to go fire up the grill for some bbq chicken

We got hammerd up in Rosehill. My parents live in Westador on 1960 and it also got hammerd. Grabbed my mom and ran down to the lodge at Matty. We have power!

Here in Sweeny we lost power at 200 this morning and I would like to thanks Texas New Mexico with assitins from Sweeny Vol. Fire Dept. for getting our power back up about 900 tonight.
Still at work, (Houston) we never lost power..will be here until 0600 tomorrow. House is ok in Manvel, no power..little damage..pretty good size stray tree under the carport!! might plant it!! LOL But, it didn't hit the carport..ummm? Will keep everybody in my prayers.
