While prepping the yard and house today I noticed there were no birds around. They are usually everywhere! I live in W. Houston. Anyone else notice this?

Yes. In preparing for Rita noticed the same thing. I don't know why, but they all disappeared. We are in Spring.

I guess they all moved to Katy. Noticed a ton on my way home from work.

my cat was eyeing a lone bird just a few min ago. it was the only one i seen and i just heard it, so i guess i didn't see it. this island is dead right now. crazy

I just flushed a bunch of doves and four great herons when I walked the yard. Between them and the fifty or so cardinals in the yard, it was enough for me to make a comment to my wife.

Then I come in and see this thread....maybe them animals know somethin' and are on the move...

I have a lot of white wings in my Magnolia tree in the Heights,also alot of Hummers around my feeders.

In spring and hummers , chicks, robins, cardnials, etc out.. i wil take in the feeders manana
