the national news is saying no one should start to return. No power, gotta boil drinking water, etc. They are urging people to stay off the roads so emergency workers can get around efficiently.
pretty much, the damage isn't going to get worse, so no rush to get back.
i have also heard that there are curfews in most of galveston county (varying from 5-8pm), and anyone caught out after these curfews is to be arrested on the spot.
i'm not even interested in going back until we have electric. i remember alicia all too well, and without power, there's almost nothing you can do anyway ... except sweat.
