Santa brought a chronarch 100D7. Im wandering if its that much better than say a curado 200E7 and is worth keeping. Or should i fork up the extra $$ for a core?

Keep it. Just like a Core without the possibility of corrosion and just a little heavier.

I have a Curado 200E7...it's not in the same league as a Chronarch, not even close.

CH100D7 has the Core 100 design and less potential for salt water damage. I have 2 and they are just great for 1/8 oz spoons to 7/8+ oz super spooks using 14 lb and 20 lb braid with a variety of Kistler and Loomis GLX rods. Sometimes I also use 50mg's.

I'd keep it especially if the wife /girlfriend bought it for me. Remember to tell them every trip how cool the reel is & it is the best gift you have ever received so you keep getting more stuff.

What a problem ! Not really. That's a GREAT reel !
Trade it in and Santa will probably never get you another one.
I vote you keep it. You AND Santa will be happy......trust me!
There's always next year. Maybe you can be a little better?
There's not much better than the Chronarch, though.
