I had an electric EZ-Go TXT in my garage in JB. It was flooded, but overall came through in decent shape. Galvbay and I were going to try to refurb it ourselves. I talked to a golf cart mechanic who told me what to do., but it's more of a project than I have time for, and the cost for them to do the work isn't worth the money so I have decided to scrap it.

My question is, where can I take it. I thought about Houston Can Academy, but they only want internal combustion vehicles.

Anyone have any ideas?

There were a couple of responses and PM's expressing an interest. I think the only fair thing to do is to take them in the order recieved. I have PM'd the first person to see if he really wants it. I'll just work my way down the list until it's gone.

What did the fella say to do?
Big long list of stuff which amounts to taking everything apart, cleaning, greasing, oiling and painting. The electrical and brake cables will run about 1200 - 1300 not including batteries. My batteries were actually okay, but they are about 80 apiece.

Save The Cart

If I can help any 2Coolers out, email me & I will walk you through the steps to get this cart going...

The main problem with an EZGo is the chassis is mild steel.. this can be cleaned up & painted with POR-15.. then it is pretty good to go...

The electrical is a bit more involved & may require a new/good used motor & some switches....

Again lemme know if I can help.. parts are cost + 10% for 2Coolers.. I have a lot of good used parts if anyone needs some... mostly for Club Cars tho...

MY EZ Go is going to the dump, the mild steel frame will dislove in a matter of months. I am in the steel inspection business and once chlorides (salt water) hits the frame, especially mild steel and it wasn't flushed within 24 hours it's history. There is nothing you can do to it to save it no matter what anyone says. I have over a 400,000 feet of 4-8" drill casing that has to be hydro blasted and re-coated because it was submereged on the docks. This was heavly coated joints. Before this is over I expect twice that amount will have to be cleaned and this is thick wall tubing not cheesey mild thin wall tubing..

Again, if I can help any of you who had your cart killed or badly damaged, let me know if you need parts.. I have a lot of stock parts including 48 volt series motors for Club Cars on the shelf.

Also if any of you need a cart, I will sell you a real good used & refurbed Club Car at a good price..
