She told me if I could get there by midnight tonight I can leave with my boat. If anybody knows anything about this please respond, its had to beleave with IKE still that far out. I was going to wait till in the morning to make my decision but that has changed

Sounds like an ignorant sheriff, I guess they would have the trailers blow around the county. Besides what are they going to do, maybe issue a ticket.
I don't think know for a fact that trailers have to be off the road by midnight, but I was in Matagorda when they manditory evacuated during claudette and they ordered all trailers off of the road by midnight then. The Sherrif dept. actually went house to house and let everyone south of the swing bridge know when they were closing the bridge and that trailers would not be allowed on the roadway after midnight. I don't think it was an "ingnorant sheriff". They just do not want any accidents with trailers while people are trying to get out of harms way.
