Hey all, I have a great forecast for Saturday, in spite of the weather we are now experiencing. Have room for 3-4 divers for diving and/or spearfishing. Will leave out of Matagorda on Saturday morning at 6:30 AM. We will meet at 6:00 AM to load up. We will split the cost of gas, oil, ice, bait (if desired) and share in all cleanup of the boat when done. Those fishing/spearfishing will be licensed to do so. Boat policy is what you shoot or catch is yours to do with what you want. All fish and game regulations shall be followed.

Boat is a 25 foot Aquasport Explorer with WAC. Racks for 10 tanks.

A friend recently took his similar sized boat out through the jetties, so I am expecting we will be able to get out with good seas and favorable tides... <g>

Just let me know... if you wanna go... to that rig out on the gulf....

I posted over on spearboard. But like I said over there that we are taking out our boat. We really having gotten scuba/spearing going over here. Or maybe there just isn't enough spearos in Texas.

It's coming along... I know several and our presence on SB is improving. Have a safe trip. Looks like I have a full crew, if nobody drops off.

I have a brother in-law that is EAT up with Diving and spear fishing that I passed this on to. His Name is Eddie W. He lives up North but jumps thru HOOPS every other weekend just to get to some deep water. He has been in search of an individual such as yourself to Dive and Spear fish with. I prefer using a hook and not messing up a perfectly good cold beer myself. Good luck and he will be sending a PM soon.

has anything changed recently or what's it like? haven't been out of 'gorda this year and plan on making a trip sat too. also, how far are you going?

The river is pretty silted up at the jetties. There was a story in the Bay City newspaper online about trying to dredge or drag-line it. That hasn't happened yet. What size is your boat? I ususally to 35 to 45 miles out.

sorry about not getting back with you. i've been MIA lately when not at work. anyways went out of sargent to around 538 on sat. then only about 20 miles on sunday . . . could only make a half day trip. i'll let you know when i get back down to 'gorda maybe one day shoot some fish. just in a bay boat

We had a great trip but moved it to Sunday. Fishbox full, mostly by the free divers...<g> Several mangrove snapper, a good sized AJ, medium sized ling. We were running late and I didn't get photos, but maybe someone else will post theirs.
