I've had some success wading the shoreline directly behind the walmart in port isabel. There are a few places you can pull up and park and just wade strait out, its shallow first 100 yds, then theres a lil drop off. Might be a good spot to at least check out. Also, as stated earlier, the jetties there right now should offer a mixed back of trout reds and possibly even a few big fish, just depends on weather and if its rough or not. Those jetties at first light can hold alot of quality fish. And down the island some there are several areas u can wade that offer some good sight fishing if wind isnt bad, just walk and cover ground looking for nervous bait.
