I have high arch feet which makes finding a wading boot that doesn’t hurt my feet a challenge. For the past year and a half I’ve been using Simms Flat Sneakers because they have a removable insole and I just replace the insole with a high arch Dr Scholls insole. But that is a bandaid because the insoles don’t last long.

I’ve tried a number of different wading boots. Even tried some scuba diving boots and can’t find a wading boot for high arch feet which

Anyone have high arch feet that have found a good wading boot solution?

I have the same problem and bought the Magellan wading boots and my feet are happy. During the winter when wearing waders, my feet were in pain so I made the switch. They are cheap but no more pain. Although I have been lucky over the years with avoiding stingrays. I am thinking about getting the Foreeverlast ray guards.

Yeah like I said that’s what I’ve been doing but inserting arch supports really only works if the insoles in the wading boots are removable, and arch supports inserts aren’t made for wade fishing. The sand and mud eats them up in a hurry. Looking for a more permanent solution other than stop wade fishing.

I have not but I did talk to someone with Simms and they don’t make a wading boot specifically for high arch feet. What I’ve found over the years looking for high arch boots and shoes it’s pretty much impossible to look at a shoe or boot and tell whether it has high arch support or not. What’s in the outside of the boot isn’t reflective of what’s in the inside.

Interesting hadn’t thought about. I ordered a pair of insoles that were mentioned and linked above and the material seems to be much better for wading boots compared to the Dr Scholls that was using. I did try them out a little this weekend and so far no issues or pain. I’m going to check into the custom arch supports though. I appreciate the info!
