Had a little fun with this (obviously) but did manage to nab a couple sharks. Dad wasn't happy that we were wading on the outside bar with a big bag of bait... but it worked (he didn't seem to have too many issues with the dog out there though).

Absolutely gorgeous conditions allowed us to get some cool drone shots too!

Last time I waded the surf from the third bar, a 6 foot bull shark cruised by me about 12 feet away in 4 feet of water. I let the trout on my stringer go swimming (and in one case, floating) away, waded along the sand bar in the opposite direction as the trout was floating and swam back to the second bar.

Man, I've had similar circumstances. Run into several out there while surfing and last summer had a smaller blacktip grab my stringer. Had a couple run ins with Hammerheads over the years as well.

Cuz they're gunning for the real big sharks... I'm betting the majority of shark attacks are by smaller sharks in the six-foot range.
