Do yourself a favor - go buy a turn table. Best Buy still sells them. My wife bought me one for Christmas last year. I set it up in my den. I forgot the simple pleasure of putting a record on a turn table, listening to a complete side of an album (turn-tables don't have random shuffle), and reading liner notes. Forgot what a great experience records could be. The turn table itself is not very expensive. Buy yourself some extra needles as old records are very hard on needles.
By the way - you can digitally transfer but my experience is the quality is resoundingly poor. Records have their own hissing, snapping and crackling that you've probably forgotten about - but sound like heck when captured digitally.
