My son Stephen and I went to Viking Archery today and just wanted to say those guys ROCK!

They had quite a few folks in getting work done on arrows and bows and they just cranked them out in short order!

We just waited--looking around--checking bow lbs and let-off on my 4 bows (3 compound and 1 recurve) we brought in to get tweaked.

They got to us with my original "Viking Bow" from 74' (shooting a whopping 180 ft lbs like Lightning!) changed the rest--my original "Boy Scouts" (50's) recurve for Raven 7, I had them put an arrow rest--re-twine the knock area up a bit and put a knock stop on it on it so she could shoot better! Gave me a spacer for Johnny's "Wisker Bisquit" on his "Pearson" 75' to center the rest--and checked over our "Fred Bear" starter bow!

They gave us alot of update info on equipment (I have been out of it since the 70's when I shot competition tourneys) arrows-- broad heads etc.

Bought 6 "Fred Bear" razor broad heads--just love the old style stuff!

Just wanted to give them some props as they were so helpful and brought our confidence up to snuff.

Got home and set up one of my quad pods and a target for practice! Very cool!

Thanks Viking!!--We are now ready for the Smack Down Season!!

That place has been around for a long time. I bought my fist bow ther in high school back in the realy 1980's.

Anyone know when they opened their doors ???
Don't know exactly when, but I was shooting competition with their family back in 77' and they were open then....

They have opened another store at Canyon Lake by New Braunfels. Tim is there alot. They opened up a couple of years ago. Very nice store and the people that work there know their stuff.
Is the Viking in Startzville (Canyon Lake) affiliated with the one in Houston? I have a house on canyon and have drove by it many times... always in the summer and have not had the time to stop by. The store in Houston is the only place I go to buy bow stuff and if they are affiliated I will also start to shop the Canyon location when I am over there.
