Got 'em on Sunday at east beach near the jetties on DOA shrimp. It was legal size fish but not after the sharks "visit"

How does TPWD ...

feel about keeping trout that "WERE" keeper lenghth but when you got them to the boat they weren't?

Can you keep them legally?

Seeing as how you can't use the cleaning tables that are over water now....

I've surf fished a bunch over the past 15 years anywhere from SLP down to Sargeant and everywhere in between. Last year was the worst I've ever seen for sharks in the surf. This year is shaping up to be just as bad or worse. Those little 2-3ft black tips can be relentless when they detect an easy meal. I've seen 5-6 footers cruising outside the 3rd bar. Be careful out there and keep your eyes peeled. (I'll be out wading with them this afternoon, lol)

Just be lucky there's some fish left. Coutnless times I've reeled in trout with only the heads. Couldnt even get them on the stringer.

Slot Red???

Last August - while fishing at the Jetty - what was a Bull Red quickly turned into a Slot Red! Dale is Dewey's Grandson-in-law ... it was an interesting day of fishing!

I think this was the work of something a bit bigger than a 2 or 3 ft Black Tip!
