If you know someone that has one, borrow it and read it yourself. Once you know the code(s), search the internet for the probable cause. Otherwise, stop by Autozone, they will read it for free and most likely diagnose the cause. Good luck.
You can also disconnect the battery for a few minutes.If something is wrong it will come back on in about 40-50 miles.Then go to Auto zone or Napa to get code for free and look it up on the internet.
Just check the gas cap to make sure it is on correctly, then drive it. About 50 miles it should go off.
