I was going to launch from Thompsons Sat. morning, but needless to say, it was a no-go. Left there and went to Fort Anahuac. It was open. Left there and came out of the Trinity and hit Oak Island & Double Bayou. Not much success. No report on Goo Hole rd. boat ramp.
The last island out of the Trinity to the right was covered up with debris.
I saw water heaters, sofas, couches, big chairs, a boat flipped over and a SeaDoo.
There were some numbers on the Seadoo. I will look at them and see if I can find it's owner.
Some debris in the water floating and some stuck and just below the surface. Very dangerous to run hot around there so be careful running Trinity.

I really think the north shoreline of East Bay and the Trinity shoreline is going to be a mine field for lower units for awhile. The entire Spoonbill Lodge is out there somewhre. I'd be real careful...gb

Like I was saying, I do not know the condition of Goo Hole. I've got a call into a buddy to find out.
PS- The gator situation on the Trinity is horrible. Everywhere I looked they were in the river.
Even saw some goobers wading just inside the edge of Anahuac pocket right where I saw a 5-6 footer swimming back towards the river.
The last one I saw was just before the channel to the ramp, no kidding, he or she was every bit of 12 foot long.
It looked huge and full.
Most uncomfortable fishing the shorelines up in Jacks Pocket and not knowing what you come across with people still mossing.

My dad and i went out friday, we put in at fort anahuac park. i noticed that the submerged logs out in front of the islands are gone along with the submerged concrete pipe, its kinda a scary feeling knowing that the concrete pipe got relocated somewhere else. The old river channel also got filled in by about 3ft of silt at the mouth, hopefully the tide movements will wash that back out. The east shoreline of trinity now has 4 new submerged fuel tanks that are spaced out about a half mile or so apart. and i did notice the jet ski on the island that saltwater stalker mentioned, it looked like a late 90's model. Be on the lookout for newly relocated stucture in trinity!
